Do any of you have information on the origin of blue dot tail lights? This is the (usually) 1 inch diameter blue insert that causes the brake or tail light to appear bluish/purple, depending on the location of the blue dot. What vehicles came from the factory with the blue dots, if any? Some have told me the Model A coupe can with this but I cannot confirm it.
There are several states that specifically allow the blue dot on older vehicles and or motorcycles. Some specify that this is to be on the brake light while others just say that it can be on the tail lamps.
Other than Minnesota, Illinois, Idaho and Washington State, do you know of other states whose law permits the famous (infamous?) blue dot? Any other details on this style of tail light?
